Erika Garcia
Director of Regulatory Affairs
Erika Garcia is director of regulatory affairs for Entergy Texas. In this role, Garcia is responsible for engaging with the Public Utility Commission of Texas and plays a key role in developing the regulatory strategy as the company works to deliver new, sustainable solutions for customers while maintaining reliable and affordable power for Southeast Texas. Previously, Garcia served as senior counsel in the legal department, representing Entergy Texas before the PUCT in cases involving infrastructure investments and rate proceedings.
Prior to Entergy legal, Garcia worked as an associate in the Public, Regulatory, and Environmental Practice Group of Winstead PC. In this role, she represented electric utilities in rate cases and other proceedings before the PUCT and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. She also previously worked as a staff attorney in the Legal Division of the PUCT.
Garcia holds a juris doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Williams College.
In addition, Garcia is also actively involved in the Austin community. She is a director at large on the Board of the Administrative Law Section of the Austin Bar Association and is a member of Public Utility Law and Administrative & Public Law Sections of State Bar of Texas and the Gulf Coast Power Association. She also volunteers her time with the Seedling Foundation.
