Entergy Texas' Home Energy Efficiency Program for Low-Income Customers is designed to help you improve your home's energy efficiency at little or no charge.
These energy efficiency improvements may include duct sealing, weather stripping, caulking around windows, sealing plumbing penetrations, checking and sealing air returns/ducts if you have central air conditioning, and also the addition of attic insulation. All of these measures can save you money on your electric bills. For simple, do-it-yourself energy efficiency tips, visit entergy.com/energyefficiency.

Step 1. Schedule an appointment with an Entergy-approved contractor from the list below. These contractors work for many utilities throughout Texas. You will need to find one for whom funding is still available. Please note, these programs are offered on a first come, first served basis with contractors working until all funds are spent.

Home Save Energy |
Two Rivers Energy Services |
CONERGY |
SouTex Energy Solutions |
Your Valley Weatherization |
Ecoenergy Conservation Group |
Southwest Weatherization LLC |
2Save Energy LLC |
Step 2. The contractor will come to your home and conduct tests to determine whether it is a fit for energy efficiency work. If your home has broken windows, holes in walls or other major leakage which would require additional work, the contractor will not be able to sign an agreement with you. It is also possible that your home is already energy efficient, another reason that work may not be performed.
Step 3. If improvements can be made at your home and you are willing to sign an agreement with the contractor, energy efficiency work will take place. If you have central air conditioning, the contractor will also check the duct system and perform any work necessary to get it into compliance.
Step 4. Sometimes the contractor will offer additional services at a cost to you. This is a part of what they do and may include an offer of solar screens, water saving devices or other energy saving tools. Whether you decide to buy additional services or products is strictly up to you.
Step 5. Once work is complete, you will enjoy a more comfortable home that uses less energy.
Step 6. If you are unable to find a contractor who will be in your area for energy efficiency in the immediate future, please remember Entergy Texas' program receives new funding and begins each January. Please check this website again for program details.
